RATHLIN SKIES

For this project, I was tasked with creating a brand identity and themed response for Rathlin Island. I chose to focus on the island’s exceptionally low levels of light pollution, branding it as an ideal, secluded location for experiencing the aurora borealis. This visual identity— comprising a custom wordmark, illustrative shapes, and a vivid color palette— was inspired by the flowing forms and tones of the northern lights.

To bring the identity to life, I designed a brochure that includes a detailed map of Rathlin Island alongside informative content that raises awareness about the impact of light pollution. Additionally, I developed a calendar concept presented as an infographic, which charts the moon phases throughout the month in relation to the islands hours of true darkness— emphasizing the natural rhythms and untouched beauty of Rathlin’s night skies.
