SOCIAL JUSTICE

For the Social Justice brief, I was given the topic of bodily autonomy and chose to focus my response on the issue of child soldiers in parts of Africa. These children are often forced into conflict, exposed to extreme violence and consume strong substances as a result of their experiences. They are removed of any control over their own bodies and actions.

My poster is constructed around the powerful phrase fear no god, a quote from a rehabilitated child soldier who said,

I wanted the design to feel unsettling, so I used entirely handmade elements, combining analog techniques with digital post-editing in Photoshop to create a gritty, emotionally charged visual.
